EY3741B 14.4-volt Cordless Lantern
Combines fluorescent and LED lighting to provide longer lasting task lighting
Illuminating work can go a long way to improve productivity and safety for professional tradesmen. The EY3741B cordless lantern combines the energy efficiency of fluorescent and light-emitting diode (LED) technology to supply task lighting for significantly longer periods than conventional units with Xenon bulbs.
The bright twin 9-watt fluorescent bulbs produce approximately 330 Lux; the LED can produce approximately 25 Lux. A condensing reflector panel concentrates light to illuminate the close peripheral area of the light.
The adjustable handle allows the user to position the lantern to cast the best light onto the work area. If the battery’s voltage falls to a certain level as it discharges, the lantern will automatically switch to LED lighting allowing the user to switch batteries, finish up or find another light source.
Using the EY9L44B 14.4-volt 3.3Ah battery, the lantern will provide approximately five hours of illumination with the fluorescent bulb or approximately 110 hours in LED mode. The EY9L24B 14.4-volt 1.5Ah battery pack will provide approximately 2 hours, 10 minutes of runtime in fluorescent mode or approximately 47 hours of runtime in LED mode.
The compact tool stands at 11-3/4" tall x 4-7/8" maximum width and weighs only 0.99 lbs. without the battery pack. A shoulder strap makes it easy to carry into remote work areas.
