Application
Bituthene PrimerWP-3000 is packaged ready
to use. Do not dilute with water or solvent.
Apply by spray or roller. For best results use a
professional grade, pump-type compressed air
sprayer with a brass fan tip nozzle.Apply the primer to clean surfaces at a coverage
rate of 500-600 ft2/gal (12-15 m2/L).
Coverage should be uniform. Primer should
not be applied so heavily that it puddles or
runs. Do not apply directly to Bituthene
membrane.
Allow the primer to dry one hour. In humid
conditions, dry time may be longer. In general,
priming should be limited to what can be
covered in 24 hours. In conditions where long
dry times are expected, substrates may be
primed in advance. Substrates should be
reprimed if significant dirt or dust accumulates.
Before primer dries, tools should be cleaned
with water. After primer dries, tools should be
cleaned with mineral spirits. Mineral spirits is
a combustible liquid which should be used
only in accordance with manufacturer’s safety
recommendations. Do not use solvents to
clean hands or skin.
